CLA Game Fair 2009

Conservative Rural Action had a very successful stand at this years Game Fair at Belvoir Castle, where we informed visitors about three of the Conservatives Campaigns.

Firstly we signed up many more signatures to our Honest Food Campaign.  A Campaign which calls for country of origin labelling, thereby supporting British farmers and allowing consumers to make an informed choice of where they buy their meat products.

We talked of the Conservatives plans to respect rural communities, revive the rural economy and protect rural services, ideas that are set out in their paper, Rural Action A Conservative Agenda for Rural Communites.

Nick Herbert, Jim Paice and Richard Benyon all attended the show.  Not only did they participate in varoius debates but also launched the latest initiative, Future CountrysideFuture Countryside is an online web consultation, bringing together experts to discuss how we are to meet the environmental challenges of the future and deliver a sustainable countryside.  Click here to visit Future Countryside.

In addition we asked visitors for their experiences of regulation whether they were a farmer struggling with mountains of paper work or a B and B owner facing unecessary red tape.
